Happy Birthday, John!

It's after midnight, so it's officially my husband's 40th birthday! To celebrate, i'm offering a one-day sale in honor of my old man. (boy am i glad he never reads my blog!)

Anyway, choose any stamp set in the catalog with a 4 in the item number, price, or page number, and get it for 15% off! The only catch is that you MUST contact me TODAY or TOMORROW (February 28th OR 29th). You can do so by leaving a comment here, calling me, or sending an email to melissastamps@gmail.com.

Happy (belated) Heart Day!

I'm really running behind here...but at least maybe i'll give you an idea for next year's valentine's, right?? Anyway, here's the card i made for my hubby this year.

I made this card with only sets i had gotten for FREE. That's one thing i really love about being a demonstrator! More opportunities to get free stuff!

Actually, YOU can get these sets for free, as well. The words are from a set which you can get for free right now just for spending $50 or for hosting a party whose sales reach $300. (There are 5 sets and one pack of rub-ons to choose from.)

Sale-a-Bration ends on March 17th, so be sure to contact me right away if you want to make a purchase during this great sale, or better yet, host a party during this time. It's really the very best time of the year to do either or both!

The other set, which has 12 stamps in it, is not available to purchase. The only way to get it, for free! is by hosting a party whose sales are at least $500. You can of course take advantage of this regular hostess benefit in addition to Sale-a-Bration.

Stamp sets: Time Well Spent (hostess), Lots of Thoughts (Sale-a-Bration)
Cardstock: Mellow Moss, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, and Rose Red
Ink: Mellow Moss and Rose Red ink pads
Tools: Scallop Circle punch, 1⅜ Circle punch
Adhesive: Tape runner, Stampin’ Dimensionals

A New Look!

I guess i'm a bit behind the times, if we're supposed to make changes for New Year's. But today i finally had the chance to freshen things up here on my little blog. Besides color and layout changes, you'll notice some new "extras" on the left side of the page. Be sure to vote in the poll i put up - you only have until the end of February to do it!

Another "from the heart" card

Here's a card that is very similar to the one i posted in this entry. I changed the cardstock, designer series paper, ribbon, and inks, and voila, it looks (almost) like a different card!

Stamp set: Baroque Motifs, All Year Cheer I (retired)
Cardstock: Blue Bayou regular & textured, Wild Wasabi textured, and River Rock textured
Designer Series Paper: Porcelain Prints
Ink: Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi, and Chocolate Chip ink pads
Tools: Scallop circle punch, 1" and 1 1/4" circle punches, 1/16" hole punch
Adhesive: Tape runner, dimensionals
Other: (altered) Wild Wasabi double-stitched ribbon, vintage brad
